Susanne E. Brunette, age 78, of Stone Lake, WI passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2013 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth, MN.

Susanne Elizabeth Edith Cook was born September 1, 1934 in Edinburgh, Scotland the daughter of James and Edith (Fischer) Cook. She was raised in Scotland and attended school there. On May 19, 1954 Susanne was joined in marriage to Clinton J. Brunette in London, England. Together they lived in London before moving to Cass Lake, MN. Susanne E. Brunette, age 78, of Stone Lake, WI passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2013 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth, MN.

Susanne Elizabeth Edith Cook was born September 1, 1934 in Edinburgh, Scotland the daughter of James and Edith (Fischer) Cook. She was raised in Scotland and attended school there. On May 19, 1954 Susanne was joined in marriage to Clinton J. Brunette in London, England. Together they lived in London before moving to Cass Lake, MN. Susanne and Clinton purchased the Black Mallard Resort in Stone Lake, WI which they operated until 1980 when they retired. After retirement Susanne and Clinton enjoyed trips to Florida during the winter months to visit family in Lake Worth and to stay in Panama City Beach where they were members of the American Veterans Club and Fleet Club. Throughout their lives Susanne and Clinton loved to dance together and care for one another.

Susanne is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 59 years, Clinton; two children, Brad D. Brunette of Panama City, FL, Michelle O'Neill of Lake Worth, FL; three grandchildren, Colin and Allison O'Neill, Austin Brunette; one brother, James Cook of Edinburgh, Scotland; niece, Jennifer Cook and nephew, Keith (Sylvia) Cook.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one nephew, Graham Cook.

A time of gathering with family and friends will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 13th at the family home in Stone Lake. Interment will be in the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner, WI.
