Robert Scott Larsen, 66, of Stone Lake entered into eternal life on June 22, 2013 at Sunset Senior Home in Hayward.
Bob was born on July 10, 1946 to Ruben and Lillian (Stammen) Larsen in Woodstock, IL, growing up in the vicinity of Madison, Wisconsin. He was employed at various jobs, including The Badger Army Ammunition Plant and Madison Kipp Corp. Bob married Clare Teresa Kress on August 9, 1969 at St. Dennis Church in Madison. Bob and Clare lived in Fond du Lac where their son, Theodore, was born. After receiving a degree in Auto Mechanics from Moraine Park Technical Institute, the family moved to Jeanerette, Louisiana. There, Bob worked in the Cook-Blanch Ferry prior to his employment with the Jeanerette Water Department.Bob and his family eventually returned to Wisconsin, making their home in Stone Lake. There, Bob worked maintenance at the Hayward McDonalds. Bob had a variety of interests, including cooking, playing cribbage, and watching and learning from the history channel. He also enjoyed discussing and speculating about "unusual occurrences" as well as collecting watches and chiming clocks. One thing his wife, Clare, especially appreciated about him was his sense of humor and laughter. Bob enjoyed spending time at home; his family was important to him. He had a deep faith in God that carried him through life. Bob is survived by his son, Ted, his brother and sister-in-laws and nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his loving wife, Clare. A funeral service for Bob was held on Wednesday, June 26, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hayward, at11:00 a.m. with the Very Reverend Philip J. Juza officiating. Visitation was one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial with full military honors was held at Greenwood Cemetery in Hayward.Thank you to all who gave loving care to Bob: the hospice nurse and chaplain and the wonderful staff at Sunset Senior Home.
