Rita M. Sirota, age 84, of Hayward, WI went to be with the Lord peacefully on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at her home on Grindstone Lake.

Rita Marie was born May 5, 1927 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Elias "Jerry" and Frances (Koch) Montreal. Rita was raised on the south side of Chicago and graduated from Lindblom High School. Rita M. Sirota, age 84, of Hayward, WI went to be with the Lord peacefully on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at her home on Grindstone Lake.

Rita Marie was born May 5, 1927 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Elias "Jerry" and Frances (Koch) Montreal. Rita was raised on the south side of Chicago and graduated from Lindblom High School. She attended beautician school and then opened a beauty salon named "Ri-Mar" with her sister Marie Everett. On June 20, 1948 Rita was joined in marriage to Emil Sirota in Chicago. Rita continued to work in Chicago as a beautician for Goldblatts Department Store and later Meyer Brothers. In the early 1960's Rita and Emil purchased a small summer cabin on Grindstone Lake near Hayward. Rita and family spent their summers at the cabin while Emil commuted back to Chicago for the work week. Rita and Emil retired and moved to their home in 1976. Rita was an active member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Badger Women's Club. She also volunteered for the Hayward Nursing home, doing hair for residents, and the Township of Bass Lake, as an election official and at the Hayward Hospital and many other areas. Rita reached people with her passion, kindness and a great sense of humor. She was an avid sports fan all her life and was devoted to her beloved Chicago Bears football team.

Rita is survived by her two children, Robert (Loretta) Sirota of Charlotte, NC, Randy (Steve) Milliron of Soldotna, AK; three grandchildren, Paul (Karlee) Wickler of Redmond, WA, Douglas (Jamie)Wickler of Lakewood, CO, Max Milliron of Anchorage, AK; nephew, George Everett of Henderson, NV; extended family, Dr. Larry and Debi Wickler, Cookie Bonicatto, Skip and Eileen Brossard, and Rachel Hamblin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Emil; and one sister, Marie Everett.
