Pauline Kay Hopp, 88, of Shell Lake, formerly of Spooner and Hayward, passed away at Terraceview Living Center in Shell Lake on Tuesday, August 6, 2013.
Pauline was born on August 30, 1924 to Frank and Stella Phillips in Sparta, TN. She married Ruel Anton Hopp on August 29, 1940 in Crown Point, IN. She cooked at Cook Shanty in Hayward, and she also worked in the kitchen of Turks Inn in Hayward. Pauline worked as a CNA for many years at various facilities until she retired to Spooner in 1985 with Ruel. Ruel passed...

Pauline Kay Hopp, 88, of Shell Lake, formerly of Spooner and Hayward, passed away at Terraceview Living Center in Shell Lake on Tuesday, August 6, 2013.
Pauline was born on August 30, 1924 to Frank and Stella Phillips in Sparta, TN. She married Ruel Anton Hopp on August 29, 1940 in Crown Point, IN. She cooked at Cook Shanty in Hayward, and she also worked in the kitchen of Turks Inn in Hayward. Pauline worked as a CNA for many years at various facilities until she retired to Spooner in 1985 with Ruel. Ruel passed away March 3, 1996. From 2001 until now, she resided at the Benedictine Living Center in Spooner and at Terraceview in Shell Lake. She enjoyed keeping chickens, playing bingo, and WWF wrestling. Pauline loved her family more than anything and enjoyed her family to the fullest. She will always be remembered as a very kind, caring and loving mother and grandmother.
Pauline was survived by 12 children, Jerry (Sherry) Hopp of Edgerton, WI, Sandra (Sonny) Moyer of Shell Lake, WI, Stanley (Doris) Hopp of Cushing, WI, Delila (Dan) Schaefer, Sarona, WI, Daniel Hopp of Stoughton, WI, Otto (Linda) Hopp of Edgerton, WI, Deborah (Richard) Barker of Trego,WI, William Hopp of Frederic, WI, Ed (Laurie) Hopp of Frederic, WI, Timothy Hopp of Edgerton, WI, Lisa Stout of Beloit, WI, and Ruby Hopp of Spooner, WI; 33 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous other relatives. Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ruel, and three children, Basil Hopp, Anton Hopp, and Janice Hopp.
A graveside service was held for Pauline at 2 pm at Greenwood Cemetery in Hayward. Visitation was from 1 until 2 pm at Anderson-Nathan-Koerpel Funeral Home in Hayward.
