Patrick A. Nispel, age 71 of Hayward, WI and formerly of Eau Claire, WI and Rice Lake, WI died Thursday, February 21, 2013 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.

Patrick Allan Nispel was born April 15, 1941 in Superior, WI the son of Kenneth and Dorothy (Bouchard) Nispel. He grew up in Eau Claire and after graduating from high school, joined the National Guard. On November 6, 1965, Pat was joined in marriage to Judith A. Colegrove in Spooner, WI. Patrick A. Nispel, age 71 of Hayward, WI and formerly of Eau Claire, WI and Rice Lake, WI died Thursday, February 21, 2013 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.

Patrick Allan Nispel was born April 15, 1941 in Superior, WI the son of Kenneth and Dorothy (Bouchard) Nispel. He grew up in Eau Claire and after graduating from high school, joined the National Guard. On November 6, 1965, Pat was joined in marriage to Judith A. Colegrove in Spooner, WI. Pat sold insurance for 30 years for AFLAC and also did some residential roofing and insulation work on the side. Once Pat retired from insurance work he followed his passion to drive by becoming a school bus driver in Hayward and then an over the road truck driver in 1999. Pat loved being on the road but had to give up driving due to his health in 2006. In recent years he enjoyed 4-wheeling and driving his grandchildren around on his Ranger. Pat was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Hayward.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Judy Nispel of Hayward; his daughter Jodi (Jason) Jorczak of Hayward; two grandchildren Dawson and Tiana; four siblings, Tim (Betty Anderson) Nispel, Mike Nispel, WI, Kenny (Lori) Nispel and Kimberly (Gene) Ekdahl, all of Rice Lake, WI; many nieces and nephews and his good friend, Robert Reeve of Hayward, WI.

Pat was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Rick and Gary Nispel.

A Memorial Service for Pat will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 26, 2012 at Grace Lutheran Church in Hayward with Pastor Tony Stoutenburg officiating. A time of visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service at the church. Military Honors will be accorded by the Wisconsin Military Funeral Honors Program. Anderson-Nathan-Koerpel Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
