Lola J. Sheahan, age 92, of Willowbrook, IL died on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at her family's cottage in Cable, WI.

Lola Jane Moore was born February 8, 1920 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Fred and Hulda (Mellen) Moore. Lola was raised in Momence, IL where she graduated from high school. On September 21, 1939 Lola was joined in marriage to Robert Emmett Sheahan in Iowa. Lola and Robert moved to Dolton, IL before moving to Riverdale, IL where they lived for 67 years. Lola J. Sheahan, age 92, of Willowbrook, IL died on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at her family's cottage in Cable, WI.

Lola Jane Moore was born February 8, 1920 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Fred and Hulda (Mellen) Moore. Lola was raised in Momence, IL where she graduated from high school. On September 21, 1939 Lola was joined in marriage to Robert Emmett Sheahan in Iowa. Lola and Robert moved to Dolton, IL before moving to Riverdale, IL where they lived for 67 years. After raising her children, Lola worked as secretary for several school districts until her retirement in 1977. Lola enjoyed bowling, crocheting, playing cards, and attending meetings for Homemakers and SSAEOP Retired Secretaries groups. She had an outgoing personality and would do anything for someone in need. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of the Queen of Apostle's Catholic Church in Riverdale.

Lola is survived by her four children, Barbara (William) DeVries of Cable, WI, Robert (Pati) Sheahan of Jamestown, NC, Sharon (Daniel) Gaeta of Woodridge, IL and Patricia Sheahan of Willowbrook, IL; five grandchildren, Christine (Donald) Pace of Isanti, MN, William (Kim) DeVries of Andover, MN, Kathleen (Jim) Forgues of Winchester, VA, Lisa Gaeta of Woodridge, IL, Jennifer (Marty) Ryan of Plainfield, IL; ten great grandchildren, Wil, Brock, Kevin, Robert, Hailey, Alyssa, Mitchell, Mason, Scott, and Jillian; and two nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; and one brother, Alvin.

A visitation will be held from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, September 1st at the Modell Funeral Home in Darien. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Darien, IL. Interment will be private in the Beverly Cemetery in Worth, IL.
