Lester E. Yagle, age 85, of Hayward, WI passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2013, surrounded by what he loved most, family, friends, caregivers and the Northwood's.

Lester Elwood Yagle was born July 7, 1928 in Rockford, IL the son of Lester and Edna (Devoe) Yagle. He attended school in Rockford until joining the merchant marine at the age of 16. He returned to Rockford for a short time before joining the U.S. Navy on January 14, 1952. Lester served his country for two years and earned the National Defense Service Medal. On April 15, 1955 Lester was joined in marriage to Betty Russell in Rockford. Les began his career in the music industry with Conn Organ Company as a district sales manager. He excelled as a salesman and was promoted to vice president of sales for Conn Organ. He worked over twenty years with Conn Organ and then took a position with Hammond Organ as vice president of sales and marketing. In 1984, Lester started work with Reliable Machine Company in Rockford where he expanded the business and became president of the company. Lester retired in 1995 and relocated to Hayward, WI. Lester was a member of both the Rockford Masonic Lodge and the Shriners Honda Motorcycle Patrol.

He enjoyed fishing, traveling the world for fun or work, golfing and "fine wine". Those of us who knew Dad always laughed as he actually preferred the fine wines found on the shelf in the shape of a box. Les liked to reminisce about his travels and people he met in the music industry. He was a caring, charismatic, giving person who was devoted to his family. He was a driven individual who was determined to succeed in everything he did.

After the loss of his wife to Alzheimer's disease Dad met and developed a very special meaningful life relationship with Carol Meilicke. She became his best friend, caregiver and "Guardian Angel". Carol, thank you so very much for the companionship, love, and devotion that you gave Dad. You definitely improved the quality of his life; you gave him meaning and purpose.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Betty, survived by his son, Steven (Charmaine Hubbard) Yagle of Winnebago, IL; one sister, Alice Place of Freeport, IL; his guardian angel, Carole Meilicke; and several nieces and nephews.

A very special Thank You to Dr. Christine Hyser, Edgewater Care Center and Staff. Your devotion to quality of life and excellence in care was clearly evident during Dad's stay.

Private family services are being handled by Anderson-Nathan-Koerpel of Hayward, WI. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Keystone Lodge No 263, 511 N Iowa Avenue, Hayward, WI 54843.
