John "Jack" Schlipper age 79 of the township of Hunter, WI passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2012 in his home surrounded by his family.
Jack was born June 25, 1932 in Chicago, IL to the late LeRoy & Thelma (Seger) Schlipper.
He married Velma "Vickie" Bauer September 22, 1967 in Chicago, IL; they celebrated 44 happy years of marriage.

John "Jack" Schlipper age 79 of the township of Hunter, WI passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2012 in his home surrounded by his family.
Jack was born June 25, 1932 in Chicago, IL to the late LeRoy & Thelma (Seger) Schlipper.
He married Velma "Vickie" Bauer September 22, 1967 in Chicago, IL; they celebrated 44 happy years of marriage.
Jack worked as an options trader for Chicago Board Options Exchange, retiring in 1991 after 20 years of service. Jack and Vickie moved to Hayward and built their home on the beautiful Chippewa Flowage in 1992. He was an avid fisherman, often choosing Vickie and his grandkids as partners. Jack also enjoyed golfing with Vickie and his friends. He read anything he could get his hands on, and was a woodworker and artist. Jack was a member of the Chippewa Flowage Property Owners Association serving for many years as the vice president. Jack loved traveling and he and his family enjoyed annual family vacations. Jack was an enthusiastic grandfather and the highlight of every summer was hosting his grandchildren for several weeks. He taught them how to fish, golf, craft and they spent many days boating and enjoying water sports .
Among those who survived and shared Jack's life are: his wife Vickie Schlipper of Hayward, two daughters: Suzanne Prendergast of Chicago, IL, and Diane Schlipper of Madison, WI, two grandchildren: Riley Elizabeth and Shaye Edward Prendergast. Jack is preceded in death by one brother, Thomas Schlipper.
A celebration of Jacks Life will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday Feb 4, 2012 at Spider Lake Church. Pastor Gary Hilgendorf will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be held at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the Church.
