Irene L. Regorrah, 86, of Hayward and formerly of Cable died Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at Water's Edge Care Center, Hayward, WI.

Irene Louise LeTourneau was born April 8, 1926, in Puywallup, WA, the daughter of Frank and Gladys (Moore) LeTourneau. When Irene was an infant, she and her parents boarded the train and moved to Fifield, WI where her grandparents lived. The family then moved to Hayward and her parents bought a resort on Big Spider Lake. They named the resort Cedar Lodge and Irene's father ran it for fifty-three years. Irene attended...

Irene L. Regorrah, 86, of Hayward and formerly of Cable died Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at Water's Edge Care Center, Hayward, WI.

Irene Louise LeTourneau was born April 8, 1926, in Puywallup, WA, the daughter of Frank and Gladys (Moore) LeTourneau. When Irene was an infant, she and her parents boarded the train and moved to Fifield, WI where her grandparents lived. The family then moved to Hayward and her parents bought a resort on Big Spider Lake. They named the resort Cedar Lodge and Irene's father ran it for fifty-three years. Irene attended grade school at the Spider Lake School and high school in Hayward, graduating in 1943. After graduation she went to Minneapolis, MN; there she attended and graduated from business school. Irene returned to Hayward and worked at Northern Lakes Co-op and Rivkins. She then went to Bogalusa, LA to visit relatives and stayed there for period, working at a gas company. Returning to Hayward, she worked at Lake Superior Power Company. Irene met Paul Regorrah at Angler's bowling lanes in Hayward. They were joined in marriage on April 29, 1950 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hayward. They settled in Cable and had four children together. Irene was also employed at Chequamegon Telephone Co-op in Cable. Irene enjoyed dancing in her younger years, fly fishing on Mosquito Brook with Paul, flower gardening, loved and collected stuffed animals, knitting and traveling. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and St. Ann Catholic Church in Cable where she was active with the altar society.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Paul Regorrah of Cable; daughters Cynthia (Douglas) Hescher of Cable, WI, Brenda (Jeff) Smits of Green Bay, WI, Martha (Gary)Pasterik of Champlin, MN; a son, Michael of Tomah, WI; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Irene was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Constance.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Irene will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 28, at St. Ann Catholic Church in Cable. Father Philip Juza will celebrate the Mass. Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the church in Cable. Interment will be in the St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery in Cable.
