Irene A. Chevremont, age 80, of Cable, WI passed away on Friday, February 1, 2013 at her home.

Irene Anita was born April 5, 1932 in Milwaukee, WI the daughter of Fernando and Nell (Ferrari) Santa Maria. She graduated from Custer High School in Milwaukee in 1950. On May 7, 1955 Irene was joined in marriage to Ronald N. Chevremont in Milwaukee. Irene worked for 32 years with Continental Canning Company in Glendale, WI. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Milwaukee. In 1990, Irene and Ron moved to Cable, WI....

Irene Anita was born April 5, 1932 in Milwaukee, WI the daughter of Fernando and Nell (Ferrari) Santa Maria. She graduated from Custer High School in Milwaukee in 1950. On May 7, 1955 Irene was joined in marriage to Ronald N. Chevremont in Milwaukee. Irene worked for 32 years with Continental Canning Company in Glendale, WI. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Milwaukee. In 1990, Irene and Ron moved to Cable, WI. Irene enjoyed painting, gardening, embroidering, hook latch rug making, and volunteering at the Birkiebiener. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Irene had a real love for life and her family was very important to her.

Irene is survived by her husband of 57 years, Ron; three children, Robb (Cheryl) Chevremont of Waukesha, WI, Jacque (Gail) Chevremont of West Allis, WI, Michelle (Steven) Karas of Sheboygan Falls, WI; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Norma Porath; son, Gregg Chevremont; and one granddaughter, Kathryn Chevremont.

A gathering celebrating Irene's life will be held from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 6, at the Cable American Legion. Interment will be at a later time at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner, WI.
