Ingrid Alma Nelson was born September 10, 1931 in Eau Claire, WI the daughter of Elmer and Agnes (Thompson) Nelson. She was raised in Pleasant Valley, WI where her parents farmed. She attended school near Pleasant Valley and then graduated from high school in Eau Claire. Ingrid began work as a matron at Eau Claire County Hospital. This is where she met Arthur Boetzer. Ingrid and Arthur were joined in marriage on August 26, 1950 in Eau Claire where they lived until 1965. During that time they had three children - Art, Bill and Karen. In November of 1965, they moved to Hayward, WI, purchased two resorts and created Boetzer's Pine Crest Resort on Spider Lake. They operated the resort until 1974 and Ingrid went to work for Walker Lodge. Later, Ingrid became the office manager for Tex/Suburban Gas where she worked until the early 1990's. For several years Ingrid ran a Home Interiors/Celebrating Home display business and during that time made many lasting friendships. Ingrid was a very social person who enjoyed her Trinity Lutheran Church family, exercise group at the Hayward Area Memorial Hospital, and spending time with friends.

Ingrid was a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a wonderful and caring person who always had an open door to family, friends and newcomers. She especially enjoyed family celebrations at her home where she could prepare food for others and where fun and laughter were part of the good times spent together. For many years, Ingrid cared selflessly for her husband and loved him dearly until the day he passed. Ingrid was a constant presence in her children's lives and was a grandmother and great-grandmother filled with unconditional love, kindness and patience.

As Ingrid passed away at Thanksgiving time, it is especially appropriate to thank God for her beautiful life. Because of her caring ways, all were blessed for having felt her love in their lives.

Ingrid is survived by her three children, Arthur (Vicki Rader) Boetzer of Bloomer, WI, William (Mary Schmidt) Boetzer of Hayward, and Karen (Tom) Brokaw of Hayward; two grandchildren, Jason (Jody) Boetzer of Pioneer, CA, Jennifer (Aaron Elringer) Boetzer of Eau Claire; five great grandchildren, Olive, Sy, Ira, Henry and Samuel; two brothers, Loren (LaVonne) Nelson of Eau Claire; Donald (Marlene) Nelson of Wautoma, WI; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Arthur.
