Geraldine Frances Clark Voight, 93, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2013, in the comfort of her home.
Geraldine Frances was born November 20, 1919, in Cylinder, Palo Alto, Iowa, to Herbert Leonard and Amy Day (Smith) Clark. When Frances graduated from Charles City (Iowa) High School in 1938, she and her brother Herbert moved to the Hayward, Wisconsin, area to live with their sister Jo and her husband, Albert Lovejoy. Geraldine Frances Clark Voight, 93, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2013, in the comfort of her home.
Geraldine Frances was born November 20, 1919, in Cylinder, Palo Alto, Iowa, to Herbert Leonard and Amy Day (Smith) Clark. When Frances graduated from Charles City (Iowa) High School in 1938, she and her brother Herbert moved to the Hayward, Wisconsin, area to live with their sister Jo and her husband, Albert Lovejoy. There she met Albert's friend and next-door neighbor, Leonard Voight. Frances and Leonard were married October 26, 1940, at the Little Brown Church in the Vale, Nashua, Iowa.
Together she and Leonard built a successful dairy operation while raising a family of four children. Leonard passed away on March 3, 1971, and in 1976, Frances moved to her home on the outskirts of Hayward.
She had been a member of the First Congregational Church and active for many years in the Ladies' Aid, where she served as treasurer and was a member of the Quilting Circle. She enjoyed her flowers, quilt making, traveling, and visiting with her family members and friends.
She is survived by her children: Geraldine (Frank) Vanecek, Ladysmith, WI; Walter (Lynn Jackson) Voight, Hayward, WI; Sylvia (Edward) Gengenbach, Menomonie, WI; and Loretta (Robert) Mortwedt, St. James, MN. She is further survived by nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; Kevin Vanecek, Sacramento, CA; Stacey (Kevin) Rusch and children Kaitlyn and Joshua, Eau Claire, WI; Jennifer Voight (fiancé Shane Swanson), Coon Rapids, MN; Jon (Amber) Voight and children Logan, Madilyn, and Alyssa, Eau Claire, WI; Grant (Mitch McKee) Gengenbach, Eau Claire, WI, and his daughter Sashonna, Menomonie, WI; Amanda (Amos) Oh, Cambridge, MA; Erik (Sarah) Mortwedt and son Landon, St. James, MN; Jacob and Thomas Mortwedt, St. James, MN. Also surviving are two sisters, Grace Conway, Austin, MN and Elizabeth Ziebell, Webster City, IA; a brother, Marvin Clark, Hayward, WI, and many nieces and nephews and their families.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Amy Clark; her husband Leonard; her brothers Herbert and Robert; her sisters Mary Josephine Lovejoy, and Ruth Helfter.
She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and will be missed by them.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 9, 2013 at the Spider Lake Church with Pastor Gary Hilgendorf officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the services. Burial will follow at the Spider Lake Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Regional Hospice Services, and Spider Lake Church Women's Fellowship Aid, or Meals on Wheels.
