Francis "Frank" George Hamblin was born on September 16, 1940 to Francis Earl and Vivian Mary (Cressy) Hamblin in Hayward, WI. He graduated from Hayward High School in 1958 and served in the United States Army.
Frank was a loving husband and proud father, stepfather and grandfather. He honorably served his country during the Korean war and was proud to be an American. Frank was passionate about politics and was vocal in his opinions. He loved living in Hayward on Little Round Lake. He lived in several other places, including the Twin Cities, but...

Francis "Frank" George Hamblin was born on September 16, 1940 to Francis Earl and Vivian Mary (Cressy) Hamblin in Hayward, WI. He graduated from Hayward High School in 1958 and served in the United States Army.
Frank was a loving husband and proud father, stepfather and grandfather. He honorably served his country during the Korean war and was proud to be an American. Frank was passionate about politics and was vocal in his opinions. He loved living in Hayward on Little Round Lake. He lived in several other places, including the Twin Cities, but his heart was always in Hayward. He spent hours gazing at the lake and sitting on his back, deck among the trees and animals with his dog Tessie. Frank could be found most Thanksgivings deer hunting with his brothers who were his two best friends. Tax season found him at the Hayward Senior Center donating his time to help others with taxes. He loved football (go Packers), water skiing, boating and fishing.
Frank passed away Monday, October 17at the age of 71.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Carol Hamblin; sister Connie Hamblin Jones; nephew Brian Hamblin and his parents.
Surviving him are his children: Brigitte Hamblin (Eric Truskoski) Anson & Macy; Ali Hamblin Arom (Dan Arom) Luke, Ava, Olivia; Kim Hamblin (Dan Rinke) Cash; Step children: Christine Ficcadenti (Mike) Nicholas, Milena; Lisa Pennington; Michael Charmoli (Heather); Brothers Doug Hamblin and wife Lillian and Bruce Hamblin and wife Claudia; ex wife Julie Hamblin and many nieces and nephews and friends.
Frank was a kind and loving man and a good friend. Frankie always had a smile and a sparkle in his beautiful blue eyes. He will forever be missed by all who knew him.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 22, 2011 at the Anderson-Nathan-Koerpel Funeral Home in Hayward, Wisconsin. Pastor Gary Gilgendorf will officiate. Visiation will be held from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home on Saturday. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Hayward, Wisconsin.
