Frank R. Berring Sr., age 64, of Hayward, WI who passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth, MN.

Francis Richard Berring was born March 10, 1947 in Franklin Park, IL the son of Francis C. and Marion (Wilke) Berring. Frank attended school until the age of 16 when he began his electrical apprenticeship. On October 15, 1965 Frank was joined in marriage to Joan F Ebbole. Frank R. Berring Sr., age 64, of Hayward, WI who passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth, MN.

Francis Richard Berring was born March 10, 1947 in Franklin Park, IL the son of Francis C. and Marion (Wilke) Berring. Frank attended school until the age of 16 when he began his electrical apprenticeship. On October 15, 1965 Frank was joined in marriage to Joan F Ebbole. Frank joined the U.S. Navy in 1966 and served for several years. After his time in the service Frank returned to Illinois where he worked as an electrician with the union for over 30 years. In 1977, Frank and Joan moved to Hayward, WI where he started Frank's Electric and operated the business until 1990. Frank continued working as an electrician for G&M Electric in Hayward until 2005 when he retired. Frank enjoyed helping fellow Veterans by driving them to the VA Hospital in the Sawyer County Veterans Administration Van. He enjoyed working on his home and on motorcycles in his younger years. He was an avid supporter of the NRA and enjoyed target shooting and reloading ammunition. He was a member of the Spider Lake Church and the American Legion and VFW.

Frank is survived by his wife of 46 years, Joan; son, Frank Jr. (Jessica) of Conifer, CO; two daughters, Laura (Richard) Andrews of Fort Wayne, IN, Becky (Mike) Neibert of Hayward; nine grandchildren, Shawn, Peter, Sarah, Emily, Tristan, Isaac, Josephine , Kelsey and Jared; half-brother, Emil Malpede of Elgin, IL; sister in law, Jean (Jim) Hamann of Hayward.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
