Elaine Hulquist, age 76, a resident of Hayward, died on Saturday, February 2, 2013, at the Water's Edge Care Center.

Elaine Theresa McNichols was born on January 11, 1937, in West Chicago, Illinois to parents Charles and Dorothy (Best) McNichols. In 1961, she moved from West Chicago to Ghost Lake in the Hayward Lakes Area. On May 3, 1961, she was united in marriage to Albert Hulquist in Hayward. Together with her husband, they owned the Anchor Bar and Restaurant and also the Y-Pine on Moose Lake. Elaine also worked for Jack Link Snack...

Elaine Hulquist, age 76, a resident of Hayward, died on Saturday, February 2, 2013, at the Water's Edge Care Center.

Elaine Theresa McNichols was born on January 11, 1937, in West Chicago, Illinois to parents Charles and Dorothy (Best) McNichols. In 1961, she moved from West Chicago to Ghost Lake in the Hayward Lakes Area. On May 3, 1961, she was united in marriage to Albert Hulquist in Hayward. Together with her husband, they owned the Anchor Bar and Restaurant and also the Y-Pine on Moose Lake. Elaine also worked for Jack Link Snack Foods in Minong as a packager, retiring in 2002. Elaine will be remembered as an amazing cook whose recipes are yet to be found.

Elaine is survived by her sons Dwight (Michelle) Hulquist of Minneapolis, MN, Robin Hulquist of Hayward, WI, stepchildren: Albert Hulquist Jr. of Spokane, WA, Ginny Hulquist of Florida, grandchildren: Ryan, Samantha, Austin, Elaina, Elizabeth, Kipp, Keegan, Cooper, great grandchild Kia, sisters: Agnes Golden of Farmington, AR, Alice Lorenz of Ottawa, IL, Bernice Walters of Monticello, IL, Patricia McNichols of IL, and Margaret McNichols of IL.

Elaine is preceded in death by her parents, husband Albert in 1991, brothers: Lawrence and Donald, and sisters: Mary Johnson and Catherine Griffet.

A memorial service for Elaine Hulquist will be held on Monday, February 11, 2013, at 11 am, at the Anderson Nathan Koerpel Funeral Home with visitation from 10-11 am. A spring interment will be held at the Spider Lake Cemetery.
