Edward "Louie" Lindholm, age 77, of Hayward, WI passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2011.

Edward Louis Lindholm was born July 17, 1934 in Hayward, WI the son of Carl Oscar and Nellie (Hanson) Lindholm. He graduated from Hayward High School and then graduated from St. Olaf College in Minnesota with a degree in Political Science. Edward "Louie" Lindholm, age 77, of Hayward, WI passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2011.

Edward Louis Lindholm was born July 17, 1934 in Hayward, WI the son of Carl Oscar and Nellie (Hanson) Lindholm. He graduated from Hayward High School and then graduated from St. Olaf College in Minnesota with a degree in Political Science. After school Louie moved back to Hayward where he went to work at the Standard Station. On June 26, 1968 Louie was joined in marriage to Janet Nielsen at the First Lutheran Church in Hayward. Louie went to work with People's National Bank as a teller for 16 years and then was elected as Register of Deeds for Sawyer County. He held that position for 20 years with the county before retiring in January of 1997. Louie was a member of the Odd Fellow Lodge in Hayward and served as treasurer of the Salvation Army for many years. He enjoyed the outdoors, logging and hunting for deer.

Louie is survived by his wife of 43 years, Janet; one son, Robert of Hayward; three daughters, Sandra (Karl) Solie of Houlton, WI, Ann Lindholm of Burnsville, MN, Karen (Zack) Pederson of Burnsville, MN; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Calvin; and sister, Arlene Graven.

A private family service will be held at a later time.
