Don Trettin, age 77, of Hayward, WI passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at Court Manor Health and Rehabilitation Services in Ashland, WI.

Don Arnold Trettin was born April 10, 1934 in Hayward, WI the son of Carl and Edith (Miller) Trettin. He was raised on the family farm just north of Hayward and graduated from Hayward High School. Don Trettin, age 77, of Hayward, WI passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at Court Manor Health and Rehabilitation Services in Ashland, WI.

Don Arnold Trettin was born April 10, 1934 in Hayward, WI the son of Carl and Edith (Miller) Trettin. He was raised on the family farm just north of Hayward and graduated from Hayward High School. While continuing to help on the family farm Don went to work with a local electrician and eventually started Trettin's Electrical Business. He worked until 2009 as an electrician. While working as electrician was his profession, Don's greatest enjoyment was working on the farm. He enjoyed working with his tractors and would combine for other local farmers. On June 18, 1977 Don was joined in marriage to Ruth Nelson on the family farm in Hayward. Don was a member of the local Moose Lodge and served as its manager and Governor for several years. He also served as a Chairman for the Town of Hayward and was on the Wisconsin Towns Association.

Don is survived by his wife, Ruth; one son, Carl (Barb) Trettin of Hayward; two daughters, Edith Trettin of Hayward, Donna (Wally) Olson of Iron River, WI; step children, Mike Nelson of Prescott, AZ, Pat (Nancy) Nelson of Chandler, AZ, Pam Swanson of Hayward, WI; nine grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Gerald and Robert Trettin; and two sisters, Dorothy Sanders and Viola Vogel.
