Delores "Dee" Zanoni, age 79, of Hayward, WI passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth, MN.

Delores Caroline was born March 16, 1934 in Crete, IL the daughter of William and Alyce (Schnover) Dohmeyer. On November 6, 1954 Delores was joined in marriage to Phillip "Bud" Zanoni. Together they lived in Albany, WI and then Oregon, WI where Delores worked as a nurse's aide at the Oregon Clinic. Within her family she was the matriarch. Delores "Dee" Zanoni, age 79, of Hayward, WI passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth, MN.

Delores Caroline was born March 16, 1934 in Crete, IL the daughter of William and Alyce (Schnover) Dohmeyer. On November 6, 1954 Delores was joined in marriage to Phillip "Bud" Zanoni. Together they lived in Albany, WI and then Oregon, WI where Delores worked as a nurse's aide at the Oregon Clinic. Within her family she was the matriarch. She and Phil became mother and father to son David and to Dee's younger sisters, Sally and Janet upon the death of their mother in 1965. Delores and Phillip's dream of moving to Hayward became a reality in 1970. Dee worked for Baerstch Clinc in and then with Sawyer County as a Home Health Nurse. She also selflessly cared for friends and neighbors that had illnesses. Dee and Phil operated the Tiger Cat Bar and Restaurant for several years, making many area friends. She enjoyed feeding the animals in her back yard and cherished her two grandsons.

Dee is survived by her husband of 59 years, Phillip; one son, David (Wendy) Zanoni of Janesville, WI; grandsons, Gerad and Caleb; brother, Bill (Della) Dohmeyer of Waukesha, WI; sisters, Sally (John) Syftestad of Mt. Horeb, WI, Janet (Mike) Brandt of Hayward, WI; sisters-in-law, Sandy (Donnie) Schara and Mary Dohmeyer; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, John and Steve Dohmeyer and one sister, Quin Nuccio.

A memorial service will be held for Delores at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 7, at Anderson-Nathan-Koerpel Funeral Home in Hayward with Pastor Gary Hilgendorf officiating. A time of visitation will be held from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
