Delores A. Hoeft, age 88, of Rice Lake, WI and formerly of Bruce, WI passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at Rice Lake Convalescent Center.

Delores Audrey Hoeft was born May 12, 1923 in Cook County, Chicago, IL the daughter of John (Jack) and Mildred (Beckman) Loch. After her mother died in 1935, Delores continued living in Chicago until 1937, when she moved to Hayward, to her grandparents' farm. She attended the Stone Lake and Hayward High Schools. Delores A. Hoeft, age 88, of Rice Lake, WI and formerly of Bruce, WI passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at Rice Lake Convalescent Center.

Delores Audrey Hoeft was born May 12, 1923 in Cook County, Chicago, IL the daughter of John (Jack) and Mildred (Beckman) Loch. After her mother died in 1935, Delores continued living in Chicago until 1937, when she moved to Hayward, to her grandparents' farm. She attended the Stone Lake and Hayward High Schools. In 1940 her father passed away and she moved to Ladysmith and made her home with her aunt and uncle. In 1941 Delores returned to Chicago to work. During WWII she worked at the War Plant and received the Navy and Army E award. On August 4, 1945 Delores married Edward Hoeft of Murry and raised three children.

She was known for her love of children, flowers, music, animals, her church, and most of all her family. She always tried to help those in need and everyone was always welcomed at her home for good eats and a laugh or two.

Delores was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward; a son, Robert; an infant daughter; and 5 infant sisters.

She is survived by her son Paul Hoeft of Bruce; her daughter Nancy Hoeft of Superior; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 17, at the Anderson-Nathan-Koerpel Funeral Home in Hayward, WI with a luncheon following. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
