Obituary


Clare Teresa Larsen, of Stone Lake, Wisconsin, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, February 26, 2013.
Clare was born on March 27, 1943 to Francis and Irma (Pfaff) Kress in Battlecreek, Michigan. While her dad was stationed overseas, Clare and her mother lived with family in Medford, Wisconsin. After the war, the family returned to Battlecreek and eventually settled in Monona, Wisconsin.

Clare was born on March 27, 1943 to Francis and Irma (Pfaff) Kress in Battlecreek, Michigan. While her dad was stationed overseas, Clare and her mother lived with family in Medford, Wisconsin. After the war, the family returned to Battlecreek and eventually settled in Monona, Wisconsin.
Clare graduated from St. Joseph Convent High School, and Alverno College in Milwaukee with a degree in Liturgical Music and Organ. Graduate studies were completed at University of Louisiana at Lafayette where she graduated Magna Cum Laude in Music Performance, Vocal.
Clare and her husband, Bob, married on August 9, 1969 in Madison, Wisconsin. They have a son, Theodore. Clare dearly enjoyed being a wife and mother.
Clare taught music in elementary schools in Milwaukee, New Iberia, Louisiana and for 18 years in the Hayward Public Schools. Clare was a church musician and also directed various choirs, including a Stone Lake Cranberry Festival chorus. Clare served several years as a Lay Pastor at the First Presbyterian Church in Couderay, Wisconsin.
Clare is survived by her husband, Robert, son, Ted, brother, Philip (Nancy) Kress, Susanne (Ron) Nelson, Marian (Dave) Hinrichs and nieces and nephews.
Clare was preceded in death by her parents Francis and Irma Kress and her aunts and uncles. Funeral arrangements are with Anderson-Nathan-Koerpel Funeral Home. Visitation is at 10:00 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hayward followed by 11:00 service.
We will always remember Clare's gentle and positive spirit as well as her love for God, her husband and son and her enjoyment of music.
